Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for account management activities with current customers, including growth and retention. The AM maintains and develops all existing customer relationships for a given segment (e.g. QSR, Casual Dining, etc.). The AM will provide a single point of contact for existing customers and will assume overall responsibility for managing the ongoing customer relationship. The AM is responsible for contract renewals, new product / service sales, account reviews and new customer referrals. The AM will also coordinate with a Customer Success Manager to ensure installations, rollouts and customer training's are conducted successfully. The transition of responsibility from the Account Executive (or other primary seller) to the AM occurs when a contract has been signed and a smooth hand-off is completed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts business reviews with current customer and is comfortable making presentations 
  • Retain current customers by effectively managing contract renewal process
  • Drives account penetration by selling into remaining franchise locations and/or new builds
  • Sells additional products and services to existing customers
  • Actively solicits and leverages customer referrals to locate new prospects
  • Works with Customer Success Manager to ensure smooth roll-out for customer installs
  • Travels through assigned territory to establish and maintain a rapport with key individuals at customer locations
  • Assists in managing test programs to satisfy test criteria and works to quickly transition tests into signed installation contracts
  • Identifies and communicates customer problems and opportunities to the appropriate parties
  • Documents and follows up with daily activities in CRM

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in Business, Sales, or Marketing
  • 3+ years of related experience and / or training; comfortable selling commodity, value adding items, and equipment
  • Travel, as required - up to 40%
