Job Description

Job Purpose:
Leading Leaders through strategic thought and operating processes across multiple depot locations.  Ensures every depot in their portfolio meets the organization standards in people leadership, customer service, safety, quality, operational excellence and financial performance.  

Key Accountabilities:
People Leadership:  Responsible for leading, developing and coaching General Managers to high performance and Restaurant Technologies values.  Accountable for workforce planning with key focus on coaching leaders and ensuring effective people practices are in place across our depots including:  successful on boarding of new/transferred employees, employee engagement, performance management, recognition, development and coaching.    Leads and implements systems and processes to maintain a highly engaged workforce.  Holds direct reports accountable for actively addressing engagement issues and identifies/leverages best practices in engagement.  Leads employee safety programs and responsible for results in region of accountability.

P&L Management:  Responsible for meeting the overall operational financial performance of the territory.  Ensures and holds direct reports accountable for meeting and controlling operating expenses and established targets. Manages operating P&L budgets/metrics and understands how production expenditures/costs impacts business margins and pricing.  Forecasts overall volume of service, delivery and inventory costs/turns.  

Customer Service & Reliability:  Sets vision for operational priorities across multiple depots.  Leads strategic and tactical operations deliverables to ensure customer and quality standards are met within specifications.  Collaborates with functional partners to ensure operations can meet customer demand.  Ensures that customers are satisfied and that any inquiries, incidents and issues are resolved in timely manner.  Champions and leverages technology & innovation by developing strategic operational plans and ensuring execution.  

Safety & Operational Excellence:   Responsible for setting Safety and Operational Excellence expectations for Depots in Region of responsibility.  Implement efficiency improvements which may include standardization of information management systems, quality control, safety, production, reliability and vehicle maintenance.   Promotes a learning culture to achieve high performance in distribution, safety and quality.  Ensure DSD employees are in compliance with DOT standards.  Promotes and leads employee safety program standards for employees.   

Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 7+ years’ experience in operations 
  • 5+ years’ experience managing people
  • Proven track record in managing customer service challenges which result in mutual wins
  • Strong business acumen and proven track record in achieving financial and operational results
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
